What this app is
Concrete Footing Calculator is a tool for working out concrete volume and bag counts for footings, slabs, columns, post holes, and foundation walls. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information.
Data stored on your device
Your saved projects and calculation history are stored locally in the app's own database on your device. This data is not uploaded to us, not linked to an identity, and not visible to anyone unless you export or share it yourself.
- Saved projects — the measurements and settings you choose to keep.
- Calculation history — a log of past results, kept on-device.
The AI helper feature
When you use the AI helper, the question you type is sent over the internet to Google's Gemini AI service to generate a response. Only the text of your question and the context needed to answer it is sent — this feature is not used unless you open it and ask something.
This exchange is also protected by an app-integrity check (Firebase App Check) that confirms requests are coming from a genuine copy of the app, rather than a data-collection mechanism about you.
Exporting and sharing
When you export a calculation as a PDF or share it, the app hands that file to whichever app or contact you choose on your device. We have no visibility into, or copy of, what you share or with whom.
What we don't do
- No account or sign-up is required to use the app.
- We don't sell or rent your data to anyone.
- We don't run advertising or ad-tracking inside the app.
- We don't access your camera, contacts, or location.
Children's privacy
This app is a construction-estimating tool and is not directed at children. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date at the top of the page.
